Project GIR is a server built on a foundation of community. The main game mode is Towny. Project GIR Towny is a server of new and old crafters building towns, cities, and nations together as one strong community. A touching look at the power of a welcoming and friendly community!

Towny is a survival game mode that is basically like Minecraft Plus! It’s a version of survival Minecraft that allows you to create a town, be safe from griefers, build an economy (with our additional plugin), build shops, explore the world and build your own empire inside of minecraft!

On your first spawn you will be randomly teleported across the map. If you die you will get randomly teleported if you don’t have a home spawn set.

Players can create towns or join towns and build within their claimed area. Players may own their own plot, sell plots or buy more plots to build on. Together, the players of the town contribute to its development and improve the town and expand it.

Towns provide protection from enemy mobs or other players but options such as PVP or allowing mobs to spawn within the town or within a certain area may be toggled (Mayor decision).
Anything outside of the town is considered wilderness, however, and anything can happen in the wild.

If you have a build in the wilderness it is considered “free game” to anyone UNLESS it is within 1 chunk from the town We DO NOT recommend building out in the open! You will become an easy target for getting griefed and be a target for thieves!
